MYTH Able Danger had the hijackers tracked down inside the U.S.

Nobody on the Able Danger team knew that Atta, etc. was in the U.S. because they were responsible for tracking terrorists at overseas locations. Once the program ended in January 2001 no new predictions or discoveries were made about the terrorists. Lt. Shaffer had no clue which terrorists were in each cell and only knew with the benefit of hindsight following 9/11.
