The Terror Timeline by Paul Thompson
Paul Thompson, a freelance researcher and environmentalist who works on http://cooperativeresearch.org, a pretty cool site, published a lengthy paperback book called The Terror Timeline in 2004 which is worth your money. I give it an A-. However, I have several constructive criticisms, which should be taken into account when a 2nd edition of the book is released.
Errors of Fact
*p29 The 10/24-26/00 Pentagon drill did not cover a hijacked plane.
*p428 9:41 A.M. My relative's name, Marion Britton, is mispelled Marion Birtton.

The Need for Analysis and Clarification in Certain Entries
*pXIV Michael C. Ruppert's timeline is not "excellent"; it is an example of poor research or worse, deception. Thompson should distance himself from Ruppert because associating with Ruppert is a liability to his credibility.
*p66 The person who warned Willie Brown did not have 9/11 foreknowledge.
*p82 Larry Silverstein, when using the term "pull it" during a discussion of WTC 7, certainly did not mean "demolish it," but "evacuate the firefighters."
*p104 The bomb-sniffing dogs story is misleading.
*p121 For May 2001 it says $43 million was given to the Taliban, "purportedly to assist hungry farmers ..." "Purportedly" -- what else would it be for? Also, the entry does not mention that the funds were channeled through the UN and not given directly to the Taliban by the USA.

*p372,380,413 The fighters' response was perfectly appropriate.
*p493 Satam Al Suqami's recovered passport is not suspicious.
*p496 "People with Hijacker Names and Identifying Details are Still Alive" - The hijackers named by the FBI are dead. For specific individuals see Abdulaziz Alomari, Saeed Alghamdi, Ahmed Alnami, Mohamed Atta, Majed Moqed, and Salem Alhazmi.
