Steel Warping in Sofa Super Store Fire & Collapse

I found yesterday's "National Report" from The New York Times a little while ago. There is an article called "9 Firefighters Die When Roof Collapses at a Blaze in South Carolina" by Shaila Dewan. The first paragraph is "CHARLESTON, S.C., June 19 -- The early reports were bad enough: four fighters had died as a fire in a furniture warehouse became an inferno of exploding windows, columns of flame and steel beams twisted from 1,000-degree heat." Think about all the furniture in the WTC and all the other combustibles.

R.I.P. Capt. Louis Mulkey, Capt. William Hutchinson, Capt. Mike Benke, Engineer Mark Kelsey, Engineer Bradford Baity, Assistant Engineer Michael French, Firefighter James Drayton, Firefighter Brandon Thompson, and Firefighter Melvin Champaign.
